Haygain® is delighted to announce their support for World Horse Welfare and sponsorship of Macy, one of the bespoke sculpted horses on the Badminton Invisible Horse Trail, painted by Amy Goodman.
Last summer Amy Goodman. Sculptor & Portrait Artist had the honour of having her life-size WW1 Memorial sculpture of a War Horse and Trooper unveiled by Princess Anne in Romsey. Throughout her incredible career Amy has enjoyed supporting a number of charities through the auctioning of her work. We are delighted thatHaygain are sponsoring Amy’s concept of Macy as well as generously donating four steamers to our UK centres. Macy came into our care in 2013 after collapsing due to her appalling condition. She was very nearly put to sleep but showed our Field Officer, David, the will to survive. She and her 10 month-old foal Loca were transported to our Norfolk Rescue and Rehoming Centre, Hall Farm, where they made miraculous transformations. Amy says, “When I saw the video of Macy at deaths door, with hypothermia lying in the snow, frozen, with her foal standing near her, I couldn't help but cry. To see her months later shows the truly dedicated work of those involved with World Horse Welfare.”
Haygain sponsored International dressage rider Hannah Biggs is ‘on cloud nine’ following top placings in the Advanced Medium Gold class at the National Championships last week.
